| Thirty five years ago, David's late friend Adrian Frylink III, AIL's purchasing manager, told him how fed up he was with late deliveries on small items like coax adapters, connectors and attenuators. We put a few long lead connectors and pads in stock and ran a contest. What do we name a distributor that only stocked microwave components? A week later we gave a bouquet of roses to Stella, the receptionist at AIL who come up with the brilliant name: Microwave Distributors Company. Four years later Earl Valder the Sperry buyer suggested a different name for our assembled, manufactured and value added products - MIDISCO. |
