MIDISCO has recently added MDC8250 (.250" diameter 50 ohm cable) to the existing Ultra-Flex line of hand-formable Semi-Flexible coaxial cable. Ultra-Flex replaces the solid outer conductor of semi-rigid cables with a copper/tin composite jacket to allow cables to be shaped and re-shaped by hand, while providing the same performance as the semi-rigid cables they replace. The MDC8250 compliments the MDC8085 (.085" diameter), MDC8084 (.084" diameter for 75 ohm applications), and MDC8141 (.141" diameter) that MIDISCO has been supplying for many years.
MDC8250 provides a semi-flexible alternative to RG-401 semi-rigid cable and eliminates the need for forming tools. MDC8250 has a .065" diameter solid silver plated copper center conductor, and a TFE dielectric. Its' copper-tin composite shield provides 100% coverage and the cable is 100% swept to 18 GHz, ensuring the same high quality and low VSWR as the other sizes.
MDC8250 is available in lengths up to 500 feet as either raw material, or as a cable assembly. Type N, SC, SMA, and TNC connectors are available from MIDISCO and most cable assemblies can be shipped within 48 hours.
